This week has been a significant one for the Supashock team – on the global stage and in our own home State of South Australia.

Led by Founder and Managing Director Oscar Fiorinotto, a Supashock delegation attended the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) conference in Washington D.C. between October 13 -16.

AUSA 2019 served as a backdrop to the company’s latest announcement, the launch of an American office in California and the expansion of the company’s footprint into one of the world’s largest defence and automotive sectors.

Establishing deeper roots in the US market is a natural next step for the company, according to Mr Fiorinotto.

“The evolution of our suspension and motion technology from high end motorsport and supplier to Automotive OEM’s has enabled Supashock to move confidently into areas such as the Defence and Autonomous vehicles sectors,” he said.

“Our fully active system is being used by an Autonomous vehicle OEM that will move into production in 2020. Supashock is developing the suspension with the OEM and its technology will revolutionise the way we travel. ”

Rheinmetall was proud to participate in a ceremony which included senior representatives of the Australian Defence Force and officiated by Defence Export Advocate the Hon. David Johnston.  Rheinmetall was quick to recognise the unique technological capabilities that exist within Supashock when they acquired a share of the company in 2017.

Supashock Business Expo Awards Winners

Just days later, SupaShock attended the Business SA 2019 Export Awards at the Adelaide Convention Centre.  The company was nominated for the Export Finance Australia Manufacturing and Advanced Materials award, alongside other excellent SMEs, in a category sponsored by the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy.

Before a large gathering of SMEs and industry leaders, Supashock was awarded the honour and recognised for its leadership among SMEs.
