4×4 Suspension

Engineered to deliver ultimate ride quality both on and off-road, Supashock 4×4 lift kits are designed, manufactured, assembled and tested in Australia, for Australian conditions. Supashock’s 4×4 damping technology is derived from systems Supashock has developed in-house for high-performance applications such as V8 Supercars, OEM dampers for the legendary HSV GTS-R W1 and HSV Colorado SportsCat, and numerous Defence projects.

Shell Reservoir System

A key feature of each 4×4 damper is Supashock’s patented Shell Reservoir System, which consists of a floating piston that separates the pressurised gas and oil inside the shock absorber. The large-diameter main shaft allows a high oil volume without the need for an external reservoir, providing the performance of a monotube damper with the packaging benefits of a twin-tube design. This large oil volume combined with a billet aluminium damper piston make Supashock 4×4 dampers extremely thermally efficient, resulting in consistent performance during extended use on rough roads or when tackling those dreaded corrugations. Thermal efficiency lowers the likelihood of shock fade meaning the driver maintains handling response and therefore – safety.

Every Supashock damper is tuned per vehicle model by our experienced chassis systems engineers to provide superior ride quality, comfort and performance in all driving conditions. The proprietary piston and valve design inside the Supashock damper has been developed to offer high force response and wheel control for maximum traction in both on-road and off-road applications. With better traction comes improved handling and braking performance, increasing driver feel without compromising ride quality.

Pneumatic Ride Control

Supashock’s patented Pneumatic ride control is used to catch and control a vehicles mass over big bumps while laden or towing. Our Pneumatic ride control system adds the body support of bypass dampers, without the harsh engagement characteristic of the bypass system. This technology is successfully tested and currently used in numerous defence vehicles across the globe. It allows Supashock to run softer coil and leaf spring rates for an improved ride quality, without compromising safety, body control or load capacity. Supashock equipped vehicles will experience comfort during the daily drive around town, with weekend performance on the road or in the bush.

Engineered to the same standards as Supashock’s other products, the 4×4 damper system offers rapid damper response – essential in off-road driving, and low traction environments. For on-road use, the dampers maximise ride comfort, handling and safety.
