Supashock-equipped cars achieve their second clean sweep of V8 Supercar pole positions and race wins in a row, with Prodrive Racing dominating the weekend’s Winton SuperSprint.

As in the previous event at Barbagallo, Supashock cars were on top in qualifying at Winton, Chaz Mostert driving his Pepsi Max Crew PRA Ford FG X Falcon to pole position for Races 10, 11 and 12. Mostert now leads the 2015 Armor All Pole Position Award standings.

Mostert also won Race 10, while his team-mate Mark Winterbottom won Race 11; both Saturday races were 60km sprints, conducted solely on the hard tyres.

Sunday’s Race 12 was a longer, 200km race and Winterbottom claimed the win with a hard-hard-soft tyre strategy across the three stints, his Falcon demonstrating consistently strong pace and low tyre degradation on both compounds.

Prodrive Racing Australia also achieved the fastest lap in Races 10 and 11.

Winterbottom’s pair of race victories elevated him into the V8SC championship lead ahead of the SKYCITY Triple Crown at Darwin’s Hidden Valley circuit in four weeks.

FAST FACT: Of the 16 V8 Supercars races held so far in 2015, Supashock-equipped cars have won 10.
